📋 Description

• Tutor elementary and middle-school students in math and reading through a virtual classroom • Deliver provided, pre-designed lessons and practice extension materials • Provide targeted support for students working at or below grade level • Maintain student behavior and engagement in virtual sessions • Provide practice time and supportive corrections • Meet with students in consistent, recurring weekly sessions • Attend at least 80% of claimed sessions • Participate in the application, demonstration, meeting, and onboarding process • Complete paid, self-paced BookNook tutor certification after accepting an offer

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as a classroom teacher, EL/ESL/ELL professional, tutor, coach, or in similar student support • Online instruction experience; a college degree preferred • Ability to deliver pre-designed math lessons and targeted student support • Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students • Ability to create an encouraging and motivating learning environment • Ability to provide supportive student corrections • Computer (laptop or desktop) and webcam • Clean, distraction-free environment • Reliable high-speed internet with at least 20 Mbps • Must reside in and tutor from an eligible U.S. state or Washington, DC • All sessions must be conducted from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC • Availability often including at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET
