📋 Description

• The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our client’s financial reporting • This role is responsible for posting donation and other revenue, tracking restricted cash balances, issuing travel invoices, supporting audit activities, reviewing monthly financial reports and documenting key processes • This Contractor must be able to work flexibly, adapt effectively to changing circumstances, and be a team player, capable of fostering strong working relationships across departments • This role requires staying informed of key financial activities such as revenue trends, budget variances, cash flow planning, leadership reporting, and systems enhancements • Key stakeholders include the Financial Controller, Bookkeeper, Leadership Team, donors, and auditors • This role is accountable to the Controller.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a non-profit accounting or finance role • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Understanding of non-profit accounting required • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting preferred • High level of personal organization with capacity for multiple work streams and ability to manage competing priorities • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy and ability to pivot when necessary • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Experience supporting budgeting and audit processes • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred) • Ability to learn new technology systems quickly and understand automations • A heart for evangelism, particularly in the 10/40 window • Agreement with our client’s Statement of Faith (Lausanne Covenant)
