📋 Description

• Drives and facilitates the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of Technical Consulting projects • Works with clients to ensure appropriate governance is applied to each project based on the scope and offering • Acts as the client’s first line of contact once a project has started • Serves as the focal point of all communications to the client and the Mainframe Division, including Technical Consulting, Engineering, and Support or Development • Focuses on successful project delivery as the key performance metric for this role

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years project management experience preferably in an IT environment • Experience managing Mainframe and/or Open Systems Software projects in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrated mastery of at least 8 years IT project management experience using standard Work Breakdown Structures, Project Plans, Risk & Issue Management, Project Governance, experience applying PMI or similar project methodologies to projects and programs • Proven knowledge of Project Management methodologies / preferably has PMP Certification or equivalent experience • Proven organizational and planning skills • Proven track record of delivering large or complex projects/programs on time and in budget • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills; works well under pressure and with minimal supervision • Ability to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines • Ability to effectively drive execution and own responsibility for overall success of projects • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills • Technical proficiency and customer-facing skills • Ability to make decisions independently and respond to client questions such as scope, staffing, invoicing, resource allocations and staffing requirements
