📋 Description

• Design low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, distribution panels, and transformers • Oversee conduit, duct bank, and cable tray system design • Coordinate lighting systems design • Coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines • Prepare construction specifications for electrical equipment and systems • Perform engineering services during construction, including submittal review and responding to RFIs • Conduct short-circuit, protective-device coordination, and arc-flash studies • Plan and track electrical scope, schedule, and budget at the project level • Perform power-system modeling and conceptual design development • Select and lay out equipment • Develop 2D and 3D contract drawings • Prepare bid packages and conduct field investigations • Perform electrical and I&C design and support construction in the office and field • Mentor junior and mid-level electrical and I&C staff • Interact with clients • Manage electrical and I&C-related projects • Participate in new business development • Collaborate with local and national teams

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Electrical Engineering or a related field • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience • Has achieved or is working toward a professional license • Typically becomes certified in Brown and Caldwell's Subject Matter Specialist Framework • Competency in electrical power distribution systems design • Expertise in motor control systems design • Proficiency in conduit, duct bank, and cable tray systems design • Experience coordinating with civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines • Preferred: 10–15+ years of related Electrical Engineering experience • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) registration • Experience with government, municipal, and/or industrial water and wastewater projects • Ability to work with Designers in Revit/BIM and AutoCAD P&ID • Experience in industrial medium- and low-voltage power systems, service entrance, feeder and branch circuits, lighting, emergency power, and power generation/distribution equipment • Experience with power systems studies • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code • Knowledge of electrical safety systems and NFPA 70E • Effective oral and written communication • Ability to multitask, work independently, learn, and meet tight deadlines • Ability to collaborate with technical teams for design coordination • Supervisory and mentoring experience with electrical staff • Experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower • Pre-employment background check required • Pre-employment drug test required
