📋 Description

• manage activities of individual contributors within the team • steer the execution of structural analysis and design • guide the preparation and checking of structural calculations, drawings and specifications • investigate existing conditions and producing comprehensive reports • enforce compliance to building codes during project execution • coordinate cross discipline operations for seamless execution of projects • manage construction phase effort of the team and provide shop drawings and RFI review oversight • lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of engagement, growth, and accountability • oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations to align resources with business objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations • flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs

🎯 Requirements

• a minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering or a related field • proven record in management capacity and leadership roles • typically certified in BC’s Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) Framework, and progressing through the SMS competencies • a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering, or a related field, with professional certification is required for this role
