⢠Perform QA/QC inspections of commercial, residential, and industrial building systems, including electrical, mechanical, fire and life safety, and structural components ⢠Perform building assessment projects including data aggregation, equipment bar coding, housing data collection, parking lot studies, and surveys ⢠Conduct walk-through surveys of accessible and visible building equipment, systems, structures, foundations, interiors, common areas, exteriors, roofs, and pavement ⢠Collect data from equipment plates using web-based programs; photograph equipment and tags; evaluate equipment condition; apply bar codes ⢠Gather photographic documentation of equipment, site features, and observations ⢠Review plans, construction documents, scopes of work, property records, maintenance records, inspection reports, warranties, and repair/improvement costs against site conditions ⢠After training and on-site experience, complete complex assessments such as Property Condition Assessments, ADA checklists, and environmental data collection ⢠Prepare detailed written reports accurately describing findings according to ASTM standards using computers, iPads, and other software ⢠Identify deficiencies, hazards, and non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions ⢠Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and industry standards including ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC, and ASME ⢠Communicate inspection results and compliance issues to property owners, contractors, and stakeholders ⢠Collaborate with engineers, architects, and inspectors to maintain consistency and quality control ⢠Maintain project communication with senior management regarding site deployment issues and potential problems ⢠Meet productivity and report-quality objectives ⢠Protect confidential company information and provide timely, proactive customer service ⢠Follow company policies, SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards ⢠Work overtime when authorized and travel frequently to client sites
⢠High school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required; some college preferred ⢠Minimum of 3 years related experience ⢠Certified Home Inspector or InterNACHI certification required ⢠Valid driver's license required with no significant motor vehicle report (MVR) points/violations (clean driving record) ⢠Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service ⢠Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills ⢠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ⢠Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures ⢠Ability to present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff ⢠Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions ⢠Ability to interpret varied instructions and work with abstract and concrete variables ⢠Time management, active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills ⢠Ability to work independently and in a team environment ⢠Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely ⢠Ability to meet the physical demands of the job ⢠Ability to successfully work from a remote location ⢠Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle with passengers ⢠Ability to operate an electronic tablet in the field and a computer ⢠Ability to travel extensively to client sites across the U.S. ⢠Ability to work near energized electrical components and in outdoor, elevated, precarious, and variable weather environments ⢠Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds
