📋 Description

• Serve as strategic partner to the Global Development Leadership Team on R&D priorities and operational decision-making • Liaise with investor relations, corporate communications, the scientific committee, and the CEO office as needed • Drive execution of strategic plans and communication across more than 3,000 global colleagues • Lead executive briefings, strategic narratives, and board-level materials • Identify and lead pilots, incubation initiatives, and early implementation of strategic initiatives • Benchmark industry best practices to position the company as a front runner in R&D innovation and productivity • Own governance structure, cadence, and agenda development for Development-level leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions • Ensure decision-making discipline, transparency, and follow-through on actions • Lead annual and quarterly leadership events, global town halls, and strategic offsites • Support annual operating plan, long-range plan, and in-year reprioritization decisions with data-driven insights

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related field • MBA or equivalent preferred • 10+ years of experience in the global pharmaceutical industry, including R&D, Commercial, Clinical Development, Program Leadership, or R&D Operations • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional programs and organizational transformations • Entrepreneurial mindset, with experience driving innovation, digital enablement, or new capability development • Exceptional communication and executive presence • Ability to synthesize complex issues for senior audiences • Strong strategic and operational leadership with ability to influence at all levels • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams • Enterprise thinking with a global mindset • Ability to work in matrixed, fast-paced environments • Passion for accelerating development to bring medicines to patients faster
