📋 Description

• Interface with customer points of contact and perform detailed technical tasks • Lead Network Installation Technician field teams in site activities • Plan and complete complex technical projects from survey and engineering through site implementation • Develop and maintain installation and service standards • Lead, train, counsel, assess, and mentor network installation technicians • Serve as a technical knowledge resource and company interface to customers • Communicate project status, mitigate risks, and resolve field issues • Work with Project Managers as the first line of communication for field installation teams • Recommend and assign personnel to projects with the Master Scheduler • Develop and assess field deliverables before submission to Project Managers • Help ensure production schedules are met or exceeded • Provide input on employee objectives, performance assessments, and annual reviews • Assess employee skills and provide feedback to improve productivity • Develop training and procedural documentation for field tasks and installation standards • Train employees on site surveys, telecom skills, Telcordia techniques, safe power procedures, site safety, and best practices • Provide training on Ciena 6500, RLS, Waveserver, Cisco DWDM, and other specialized platforms • Prepare complex site reports, documents, diagrams, and Visio drawings • Provide project design support in coordination with Engineering • Provide onsite and remote technical direction for deployment, configuration, commissioning, and testing • Monitor project issues and develop resolutions supporting schedule, quality, and client satisfaction • Conduct quality assurance inspections • Coordinate equipment delivery and supply issues with Logistics and vendors • Assist with personnel evaluations, objectives, professional growth, and team realignment • Review Site Completion Reports and Daily Status Reports • Coordinate engineering and technical document updates • Participate in bi-weekly scheduling meetings and coordinate project priorities • Coordinate equipment, test sets, travel arrangements, and other logistical requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years experience directly related to Ciena 6500 and/or RLS, Waveserver platforms • Previous experience leading and implementation team or teams • Active Secret clearance; or ability to obtain and maintain • Candidates may be based anywhere in the US • Must be open to at least 70% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as necessary
