📋 Description

• Report to the Test Assembly Manager and collaborate across functional teams • Assemble, lay out, and quality-control large-scale online and print-based English language proficiency tests • Transfer text and graphics into Adobe InDesign templates • Follow the CAL style guide, WCAG requirements, and print specifications • Create and maintain test booklets, administration scripts, and ancillary test materials • Prepare and review test blueprints and item inventories • Implement layout adjustments and minor graphic edits • Perform systematic quality-control reviews of print and computer-based test materials • Use screen-reader software to verify alternate text and document accessibility • Maintain, document, and improve quality-control procedures and checklists • Track stakeholder feedback, implement approved revisions, and maintain auditable revision histories • Support mock test administrations and revise materials based on findings and user feedback • Maintain test item databases and item banks • Assist with the internal style guide and test assembly procedure documentation • Maintain confidentiality and follow test security protocols • Perform other assigned responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Graphic Design, Education, Applied Linguistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • At least two years of experience contributing to the production of educational or assessment materials • High degree of proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Ability to follow established procedures, templates, and style guides with precision • Ability to apply quality control standards for print and digital production • Ability to manage competing and shifting priorities and meet firm production deadlines • Ability to work accurately with databases and test item banks • Experience with standardized educational assessments or operational test production is advantageous • Familiarity with screen reader technologies such as JAWS and NVDA • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as Section 508 and WCAG • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, planning, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills • Must reside in the United States; position is not open to candidates residing in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, California, or the U.S. Territories • Must submit a resume and cover letter
