CAVA @ Los Angeles delivers state-aligned, interactive curriculum powered by K12/Stride, staffed by California-credentialed teachers, and offers college- and career-prep, AP/Honors courses, extracurriculars, and support services (tutoring, Title IX coordination, military family support). Enrollment is tuition-free for public students and the program emphasizes personalized, flexible online learning and strong attendance and accountability measures.

📋 Description

• Full time teachers work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm • Annual salary based on holding a Bachelors or Masters Degree and up to 3 years of experience in California. • High School teachers carry a caseload of both content and homeroom students. • They meet with content students throughout the week in their virtual classrooms to provide standards-based direct and targeted instruction that meets the needs of the students. • Teachers support students in coursework, offer additional one-to-one support, and provide feedback and grade work within three days of submission. • All teachers communicate regularly with learning coaches and families via telephone, web conferencing, and email. • Hold parent/teacher/student conferences quarterly, attend virtual meetings, and participate in PLCs, data conferencing, and professional development, both virtually and in-person. • Must attend all in person meetings as scheduled.

🎯 Requirements

• Permanent California Residence (Must currently reside in 1 of the 42 counties we service students and hire in) • Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science: Biological Sciences • California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC • Bachelor's degree • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge • Ability to support and guide adults, as well as students • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Organization and time-management skills • Excellent writing and grammar skills • Flexible schedule • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook, PowerPoint and experience using them in a professional capacity.
