📋 Description

• Lead Cambiar’s IT and Security strategy and roadmap, vendor partnerships, and compliance • Build and maintain a comprehensive registry of applications, data flows, and integrations • Identify systems risks, redundancies, and optimization opportunities • Evaluate technology usage, cost, and security posture to reduce duplication and improve interoperability • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and practices aligned with SOC 2 and other relevant frameworks • Establish and oversee secure cloud, network, and application architectures • Manage data classification, backup and retention, and incident response • Implement scalable joiner/mover/leaver workflows and least-privilege, role-based access principles • Manage IT vendor relationships and ensure SLAs and DPAs are met • Guide device management, identity and access management, and network security workstreams • Advise incubated ventures on IT infrastructure, security practices, and compliance • Foster organization-wide cybersecurity awareness and shared accountability for data protection • Lead risk management and compliance assessments, audits, and training • Track metrics, manage audits, and present IT/security performance and emerging risks to leadership and the board • Collaborate with operations, finance, data, partner teams, and external vendors

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT operations, cybersecurity, or technology risk management • Hands-on experience executing and managing IT systems and cybersecurity software and processes, including IAM, MDM, RBAC, and pentesting • Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO, or similar • Experience partnering with external vendors and building internal capacity and scalable IT processes • Ability to work in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical topics into accessible, actionable insights • High integrity and discretion when protecting sensitive information • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results independently • Proven record of building secure, efficient, and people-centered systems • Experience in education, nonprofit, or social impact organizations is a plus • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across different time zones • Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm, with flexibility according to workload, calls, and meetings
