📋 Description

• Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment promoting active learning and student participation • Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours • Host weekly office hours • Work with Teaching Assistants while retaining responsibility for substantive evaluation and feedback; mentor TAs on grading and engagement • Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid-quarter and end-of-quarter evaluations • Attend required faculty meetings at least twice annually • Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and improve instruction • Participate in program assessment, course evaluation, and curriculum review • Contribute to co-curricular programming such as speaker series and networking events • Stay current on legal practice, legal technology, pedagogical trends, and AI tools relevant to online teaching

🎯 Requirements

• J.D., and/or master's degree in legal studies or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications in paralegal education or legal practice • Demonstrated professional legal experience in areas such as litigation, corporate law, family law, contracts, compliance, government, or public interest practice • Knowledge of the paralegal profession and the paralegal’s role on the legal services delivery team • Experience working with or as a paralegal strongly preferred • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing • Digital fluency and ability to incorporate legal technology and AI-powered educational tools into instruction • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education • Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds • Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training • Legally authorized to work in the United States
