📋 Description

• Install, repair, and upgrade telecommunications technology and infrastructure • Install, operate, and maintain voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment • Plan network installations by reviewing customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications • Assess installation sites and prepare installation diagrams • Run, pull, terminate, and splice cables • Install telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, alarm and fire-suppression systems, ironwork, and ladder racks • Establish connections and integrations, program features, activate remote access tools, and coordinate with contractors • Test circuits, equipment, and alarms; identify, correct, or escalate problems • Label and route equipment and cables; record configuration diagrams and specifications • Troubleshoot and repair outages; test network backup procedures; update documentation • Resolve customer concerns and answer questions • Follow applicable codes, standards, and legal regulations • Inventory supplies, place orders, and verify receipt • Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications • Take ownership of new and different requests and identify opportunities to add value

🎯 Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of specialized telecommunications specialist, IT support, or similar experience • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Capacity to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Ability to work well on a team • US Citizenship • Able to obtain a public trust security clearance • Willingness and ability to travel as needed; travel estimated at up to 75% of the work schedule • Broad technical knowledge of communications technologies, both traditional and emerging • Strong attention to detail • Excellent organizational skills
