📋 Description

• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs, business systems, and industry requirements • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system requirement specifications • Perform and lead software testing to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects • Guide subject matter experts, team members, and end-users through analysis, definition, verification, and validation • Design and develop technical and non-technical solutions for moderate to complex business needs • Gather, compile, and review information and data; evaluate existing systems and procedures; and identify alternate courses of action • Develop tools and improvements using existing software packages and coordinate new functionality and application implementation • Assist with conversion and operational support planning for multiple simultaneous projects • Manage training when applicable • Assess impacts across Epic and third-party applications and recommend solutions • Serve as an integration point across design teams • Perform analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance functions • Support and troubleshoot assigned applications and respond to user calls • Communicate complex project requirements, specifications, impacts, updates, training, needs, and support to users • Liaise between business and IT organizations to provide technical solutions • Advise users on Epic and other software capabilities and limitations • Evaluate vendor offerings and software enhancements for adherence to technical standards • Analyze clinical and business operations to identify automation opportunities • Assist with business process redesign and documentation • Make buy-versus-build recommendations and conduct feasibility studies • Prepare project plans, timelines, resource plans, and budget estimates • Coordinate system development, implementation, operation, maintenance, documentation, and performance monitoring • Assure system availability and data integrity • Coordinate development of reports, queries, forms, and screens

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field • Typically requires 5 years working on moderate to complex business process mapping, analysis, business and user requirements, acceptance testing, and documentation • Proficiency with applications, operating systems, databases, hardware, platforms, connectivity, and interface design • Proficiency specifying user requirements, interacting with technical and health care staff and vendors, and documenting user needs, outcomes, and procedures • Strong project management skills and ability to use project management software • Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and instruct and guide team members • Organizational, analytical, logical, and structured thinking skills • Strong technical problem-solving and issue-resolution skills • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to handle customer contacts • Ability to work closely with health care application users, vendors, and technical professionals • Proficiency translating user requirements into system specifications • Understanding of change management practices and procedures • Demonstrated understanding of technical components and their relationship to applications • Preferred proficiency in Excel, SQL, PowerBI, EMR systems, and automation tools • Must work Central Time Zone core hours • No sponsorship or visa transfer; international work is not permitted • Must be able to sit up to 80% of each workday • Must perform fine hand manipulation using a computer keyboard • Must be able to perform work-related travel • Must operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
