📋 Description

• Partner with primary care, pediatric, and specialty clinics within Advocate Health • Provide mental health support to patients with a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses • Complete brief, solution-focused interventions via telephone or video visits from a remote setting • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care according to identified needs • Manage clients in crisis using therapeutic skills and assessment techniques • Write treatment plans based on diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation • Write discharge plans and follow through with the termination process • Collaborate with guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery • Complete patient care assignments accurately and document care and patient responses in the medical record • Complete accurate and timely billing information • Design, plan, and implement patient education • Maintain communication and collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes • Work in patient care areas including hospital units, emergency rooms, offices, and conference areas • Coordinate and communicate with staff across disciplines and agencies

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school of graduate education • Full licensure in the applicable state • 2 years of clinical experience • Initiate the licensure application process for South Carolina and Georgia within 90 days of hire if not already licensed • CPI and CPR training required for psychotherapists working in an inpatient psychiatric setting • Flexibility navigating patient schedules • Ability to multitask across multiple virtual platforms • Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team • Ability to work long hours sitting in front of a desktop computer
