📋 Description

• Assist faculty with the financial and compliance management of externally funded awards. • Serve as a liaison and active partner between faculty and university offices for award management. • Facilitate the administration of research by proactively providing relevant information to PIs and departmental staff. • Review and reconcile expenses on the Center Status Reports. • Review salary distributions for accuracy and reflect employees’ level of effort for projects. • Process corrections and adjustments within 90 days of initial posting to the financial system. • Complete the Financial Status Report (FSR) worksheets timely and accurately. • Ensure payments to subrecipients are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a university or non-profit grants management role. • Knowledge of various sponsored research funding mechanisms, including federal agencies (NIH, NSF, DOD, etc.) • Expertise with federal funding guidelines (2 CFR 200, FAR, etc) • Proficiency with financial systems, accounting, and cost accounting standards as they pertain to grants and contracts management • Budgeting experience in Excel. • Demonstrated financial accounting skills for account reconciliation and programmatic report support • Proficient with software products including Excel, Adobe Professional, and Docusign. • Capacity to establish clear priorities and multi-task in a high-volume setting. • Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced academic setting.
