• Traffics books from manuscript through finished book of roughly 45 titles annually • Handles routing all vendor payments through the university system • Works closely with the Director and staff to ensure products are delivered within budget and on time • Regularly communicates with internal stakeholders about production status and any issues or changes in expectations • Manages vendor invoices, routing them through GU payment paths • Manages two paid student interns
🎯 Requirements
• BA degree • At least 1-2 years of experience in book publishing, preferably working in production • Superior attention to detail, knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style, and mastery of English • Strong knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Acrobat, Photoshop, and InDesign) • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate equally well with vendors, colleagues, and academics • Preferred: Editing certificate or 1-2 years of related work experience • Project management experience • Fluency with Mac and PC, prior experience using a database
