📋 Description

• Own enterprise integration patterns and technical standards across the application portfolio • Set architecture decisions spanning D365, Workday, ServiceNow, Box, M365, and related systems • Establish standards for how applications are built, integrated, and supported • Apply a configure-before-develop standard and provide architecture guidance on solution requests and platform changes • Document integration and architecture boundaries • Own the integration layer, including patterns, tooling, and maintainability and observability standards • Set technical direction for custom application development • Partner with platform owners to design portfolio-aligned integrations • Lead and manage the integration and custom apps, Drupal, and Azure platform engineering teams • Set priorities, manage workload, develop team leads and engineers, and manage the team budget • Support recruitment of technical staff • Coordinate architecture and integration boundaries with AI, engineering, enterprise applications, data, GIS, infrastructure, and digital workplace teams • Maintain architecture decision, integration pattern, and technical standards documentation • Ensure alignment with organizational policies, data privacy requirements, and governance frameworks • Establish enterprise architecture principles, review processes, and decision rights across the portfolio • Surface architecture risk and technical debt

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT, enterprise applications, or architecture roles • At least 3 years in a leadership position managing a team • Experience setting architecture direction and technical standards in an enterprise environment • Ability to translate organizational needs into integration patterns and architecture decisions • Track record of managing technology-work budgets • Deep working knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, API management, and integration tooling • Strong working knowledge of D365 F&O, Workday, ServiceNow, M365, and Box • Experience owning technical standards and holding delivery teams accountable • Experience assessing build-versus-configure tradeoffs • Demonstrated experience establishing enterprise architecture governance, review processes, and architecture decision rights • Hands-on application development and integration delivery experience • Experience leading custom application and web teams; Drupal experience is a plus • Ability to design integrations, review code, and troubleshoot failures directly • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Preferred: nonprofit, international development, or humanitarian sector IT experience • Preferred: experience coordinating architecture boundaries across infrastructure and applications teams • Preferred: API management platforms such as Azure APIM or Apigee • Preferred: event-driven and messaging architectures such as Azure Service Bus or Kafka • Preferred: cloud-native integration tooling such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or iPaaS solutions • Preferred: serverless and microservices development experience
