📋 Description

• Provide patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum • Assess patients’ physical condition and nursing needs using the nursing process and evidence-based practice • Develop collaborative plans of care with patients and the interprofessional team • Plan patient care needs to support high-quality care and clinical outcomes • Perform professional clinical nurse functions appropriate to patients’ age, development, and culture • Improve the patient experience, streamline care processes, and lower costs while maintaining quality • Contribute to a professional environment that supports mentoring, engagement, and clinician development • Consult and maintain positive relationships with physicians and interprofessional team members • Collaborate to solve problems and improve patient care • Anticipate and proactively manage risks • Respond skillfully to life-threatening emergencies • Communicate frequently with patients and staff by phone • Participate in Monday–Friday weekend and holiday rotation • Work PM shifts from 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., with flexibility to work 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. if needed

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred • Current Wisconsin RN Licensure • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Ability to move freely, including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for patient care procedures • Compliance with department-specific competencies • Frequent phone communication with patients and staff • Ability to work PM shifts and flex from 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. if needed • Availability for Monday–Friday weekend and holiday rotation • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to blood-borne pathogens, sharp objects, communicable diseases, hazardous materials, pharmacological agents, and occasional aggressive or combative patients
