Careway Health is a healthcare navigation and advocacy service that connects Medicare beneficiaries with dedicated personal health advocates who manage care coordination, paperwork, and insurance interactions. Careway’s advocates help patients find in-network specialists, schedule appointments and transportation, secure durable medical equipment (mobility aids), appeal insurance denials, explain medical bills, organize records, and provide ongoing support. Their services are HIPAA-compliant and billed through Medicare and select Medicare Advantage plans so most patients pay little to nothing out-of-pocket.

📋 Description

• Conduct brief, structured telehealth visits to establish care for health advocacy programs. • Work directly with seniors, navigating the complexities of their unique health challenges. • Partner with Careway Health Advocates to develop, approve, and oversee individualized plans. • Record findings accurately in the Careway platform. • Act as a clinical resource for advocates. • Collaborate closely with operations and technology teams.

🎯 Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with an active, unrestricted California medical license. • Must be physically located in California. • Must be willing and open to acquiring additional state medical licenses to support our growing patient population. • Active PTAN/PECOS account (registration and enrollment with Medicare). • Familiarity with Medicare programs and SDOH documentation. • Comfortable learning new EHRs, adopting AI tools, and navigating early-stage startup environments. • Exceptional listening and interpersonal skills.
