📋 Description

• Manage accounts receivable according to compliance, regulatory, billing, and payer guidelines • Validate insurance coverage and resolve charge review edits, claim edits, clearinghouse rejections, and payer rejections • Verify billing requirements, confirm work orders, obtain authorizations, process self-pay payments, submit claims, and resolve billing errors • Create and upload statement files and resolve incorrect address rejections • Prepare accounts for bad debt and collection agency referral • Set up and review Carle Financial Assistance and Community Care Financial Assistance Program accounts and adjustment requests • Follow up on outstanding receivables through phone, web portals, websites, and mail • Resolve underpayments, no payments, overpayments, and undistributed payments • Prepare payer reports and forms • Establish payment arrangements and apply self-pay payments • Review, process, and confirm work orders and payer authorizations • Review Prompt Pay Discount adjustments

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree • Experience with Medicaid authorization • Experience with Excel data entry/spreadsheets • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, billing guidelines, and payer rules • Ability to validate insurance coverage and resolve billing, claim, clearinghouse, and payer rejections • Ability to obtain prior authorizations and process payments • Ability to submit claims and resolve billing errors • Ability to handle accounts receivable, bad debt, financial assistance, and payment arrangements • Ability to communicate with patients, insurance companies, public agencies, internal departments, and third-party payers
