📋 Description

• Manages assigned Category(s) in order to maximize value, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. • Leads execution of procurement tasks; including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and program implementation. • Works with cross-functional teams to qualify and approve suppliers to fulfill business needs. • Takes action on the changes identified in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure a successful category strategy and procurement process. • Controls spend and builds a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs. • Responds to critical supplier issues and problems. • Builds and executes Request for Proposals (RFPs) in support of the overall Category strategy. • Responsible for the negotiation and execution of desired payment terms and conditions with suppliers. • Leads strategic sourcing activities to support secondary sourcing and new product development. • Analyzes contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes. • Executes Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with suppliers.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 10+ years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, and / or Sourcing • 5+ years of experience using supply chain management software and tools, including JDE, Oracle, or SAP • 5+ years of experience preparing and reviewing contracts and negotiating terms
