📋 Description

• Regarded as a Subject Matter Expert within business unit and shares knowledge • Make recommendations on internal department procedures • Recognize business opportunities for clients and CBIZ • Assume significant client responsibility as client's trusted advisor; identify client issues and conflicts and proactively communicate solution options to client and team • Manage staff on engagement deliverables, including financial statements, tax returns, and workpapers • Complete technical and strategic reviews as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met • Develop new clients in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development • Meet individual cross-serve goals • Manage billing and realization on assigned clients; develop engagement budgets and explain variances • Understand clients' Qualified Plan needs, as applicable • Supervise, train, and mentor staff • Conduct performance feedback and evaluations • Drive a team environment and support management decisions • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • 8 years experience in public accounting or related field • 5 years supervisory experience • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally • Proficient use of applicable technology • Must be able to travel based on business needs • Prior experience reviewing Forms 1040, 1041, 706, 709, 990 and complex pass-through entity returns • Prior experience reviewing alternative investments including private equity and hedge fund K-1’s, including knowledge base of Section 1061 attributes and foreign reporting • Experience with family office structures and closely held businesses preferred
