📋 Description

• Teach affiliate faculty courses in the PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision program • Prepare and teach courses according to CAGS standards and expectations • Provide instruction, assess student learning outcomes, and contribute to program evaluation • Teach courses using synchronous and asynchronous components, including blended formats for adult learners • Utilize Brightspace and other assigned technologies • Assess, validate, and recommend improvements for student learning and the PhD-CES program to support continuous quality improvement • Participate in affiliate faculty development opportunities and complete required training badges • Contribute to CCU’s mission through committee, task force, teamwork, community development, and related internal or external activities • Meet expectations defined in the CCU Faculty Handbook, CAGS Faculty Handbook, and PhD-CES faculty job description • Maintain professional counseling memberships, certifications/licenses, professional development, service, advocacy, research, and scholarly activity • Maintain clinical competency in the specialty practice area • Adhere to state governing-body standards, ACA Code of Ethics, ACES best practices, and CACREP standards • Work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends, as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Earned doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision, preferably from a CACREP-accredited program • Minimum 2-4 years of teaching experience in a graduate-level counseling program • Clinical experience appropriate for graduate and doctoral-level instruction • Appropriate certification and/or licensure (e.g., LPC, LMHC) • Knowledge and demonstrated application of adult learning theory in the classroom • Record of active scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications or presentations at professional conferences • Knowledge of ethical standards of practice for professional counseling and counselor education and supervision • Superior oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills • Ability to work cooperatively within the CCU community • Desire to be proficient in technological course assets • Proficiency in appropriate Microsoft Office software • Committed follower of Jesus Christ with evangelical Christian beliefs • Able to communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles and convictions in the workplace • Strong sense of calling to the ministry of Colorado Christian University • Regular attendance and meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church • Knowledge of the Word of God and passion for Christian education • Lifestyle compatible with CCU’s Statement of Faith and Strategic Priorities • Must reside and work legally in the U.S.; all work must be performed within the U.S. • Preferred: prior experience in curriculum development and CACREP program accreditation • Preferred: experience supervising and mentoring master’s or doctoral students on quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research projects • Preferred: extensive experience in counselor supervision • Preferred: leadership roles in professional counseling organizations
