📋 Description

• Facilitate the development of Student Service Advisors (SSAs) • Assist Office of Student Success staff with consistent application of advising resources and systems • Coordinate online and in-person training sessions, individualized coaching, and professional development opportunities • Support leadership with technological advancements, process efficiency improvements, and troubleshooting complex obstacles affecting student retention and persistence • Train newly hired SSAs and existing staff on advising strategies, customer service, student communication, degree planning, technology resources, at-risk student support, and university policies and procedures • Lead the Advising with Purpose performance quality initiative and create evaluation rubrics for advisor/student interactions • Assist with training on Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and advising-related data • Provide guidance and support for SSAs handling complex, time-sensitive advising tasks • Develop and maintain training manuals, student scenarios, multimedia trainings, and other resources in the departmental LMS • Provide virtual training through scheduled webinars • Establish an assessment process for training methodology and effectiveness • Review new Standard Operating Procedures and train staff in procedural execution • Collaborate with Office of Student Success leadership on assigned departmental projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university • Professionals with education and/or experience commensurate with the duties described will also be considered • Two or more years of service as an academic advisor strongly preferred • Effective oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills • Customer service, problem solving, decision making, and creative thinking skills • Ability to build rapport with constituents using self-confidence, patience, and empathy • Ability to adapt to multigenerational needs and characteristics • Initiative and ability to develop solutions while clarifying and enforcing policies • Flexibility, adaptability to change, and teachability • Ability to locate resources and learn from mistakes • Ability to maintain cohesive working relationships and communicate with honesty and respect • Familiarity with adult education and an academic environment • High technology proficiency, including Microsoft products • Bilingual Spanish/English speaking and writing proficiency preferred • Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a personal relationship with Christ • Ability to communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles in the workplace • Strong sense of calling to Colorado Christian University’s ministry • Regular meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church • Knowledge of the Word of God and passion for Christian education • Traditional evangelical Christian lifestyle compatible with CCU’s Statement of Faith and Strategic Priorities • Ability to walk, stand, sit, reach, balance, stoop, speak clearly, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds • Must reside and work legally in the U.S.
