📋 Description

• Record and classify donations in CRMs accurately and promptly • Record donations in accounting systems as journal entries • Reconcile donation totals between accounting and CRM systems monthly • Research incomplete data to ensure transaction accuracy • Create and send donation acknowledgements and receipts • Communicate with clients and donors by email and phone • Investigate donation-related questions and follow up on action items • Explain information and next steps clearly to clients and donors • Assist with client onboarding and provide backup coverage to other Donation Specialists • Meet with client service teams to ensure commitments are met and questions are addressed • Participate in prescribed training • Provide technical and communication support to other Donation Specialists • Identify and implement process improvements across Donation teams • Document processes and attend Cedarstone meetings • Run requested donation reports for external audits and Form 990 deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years experience working in a business office environment • 2 or 4 year degree • Knowledge of common business practices • Research and problem-solving skills • Organizational abilities • Highly proficient in Excel • Some knowledge of finance/accounting • Donor CRM system knowledge a plus • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Attention to detail and good organization skills • Adept at fixing own mistakes • Excellent time management skills and ability to establish priorities • Excellent relationship-building skills that cultivate client trust • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong ethical standards and integrity • Ability to multitask and work with several clients with differing requirements • Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods • Ability to review and process financial documents with attention to detail and accuracy • Must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and video conferencing • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods, with reasonable accommodations available • Remote work requires access to a secure and quiet workspace
