📋 Description

• Perform varied, moderately complex administrative, technical, operational, and customer support assignments • Perform computations • Work on semi-routine assignments and daily follow-ups • Work closely with provider offices to troubleshoot and complete medication prior authorization requests for specialty medications • Complete prior authorization requests for members using various programs • Interpret area/department policies and methods for completing assignments • Identify work expectations and quality standards within defined parameters • Prioritize and schedule work with some latitude and minimal direction • Follow standard policies and practices with appropriate interpretation, deviation, and independent discretion • Provide specialty pharmacy services supporting patients with chronic and complex illnesses

🎯 Requirements

• Must have an active Pharmacy Tech Certification with Board of Pharmacy for state of residence • National Certification: PTCB (CPhT) or ExCPT • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician OR call center experience in a pharmacy or related call center setting • Must be able to read & interpret clinical information • Excellent communication skills • Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences • Mail Order Pharmacy or Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred • Experience working with insurance plans and Medicare preferred • Experience submitting and/or reading pharmacy claims preferred • Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps • Wireless, wired cable or DSL internet connection suggested • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information • Must be available Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with an option of a later shift if needed • Must be available to work overtime when there is a business need • May need to work holidays when there is a business need, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
