âą Develop and maintain electrical design criteria, specifications, standard details, and Basis of Design documentation for Cerebras data center deployments. âą Translate AI system, rack, and cluster power requirements into complete facility electrical architectures with appropriate capacity, redundancy, selectivity, and maintainability. âą Partner with internal manufacturing, hardware, mechanical, thermal, controls, networking, and systems engineering teams to define power interfaces and deployment requirements. âą Design and review utility service, medium-voltage and low-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, static transfer switches, busway, PDUs, RPPs, and rack-level power distribution. âą Perform or review load flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, grounding, harmonic, voltage-drop, and reliability studies. âą Develop power capacity models, one-line diagrams, equipment schedules, sequence-of-operations narratives, and technical requirements for high-density AI clusters. âą Review designs, calculations, submittals, equipment selections, and shop drawings produced by colocation providers, consultants, EPC contractors, and vendors. âą Coordinate electrical requirements with liquid-cooling systems, CDUs, pumps, controls, life-safety systems, and other critical mechanical infrastructure. âą Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, integrated systems testing, energization, commissioning, and operational readiness activities. âą Identify electrical risks, constraints, long-lead equipment, and constructability issues early and drive practical resolution across internal and external teams. âą Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL, NEMA, IEC, local utility requirements, and regional regulations. âą Evaluate new power technologies and vendors and incorporate lessons learned into repeatable global deployment standards.
âą Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. âą 7+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting mission-critical, hyperscale, colocation, semiconductor, industrial, or similarly complex facilities. âą Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, busway, grounding, protection, metering, and rack power systems. âą Experience developing or reviewing electrical Basis of Design documents, specifications, one-line diagrams, calculations, and technical submittals. âą Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, UL/NEMA requirements, and applicable electrical safety practices. âą Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, utilities, consultants, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and data center operators. âą Ability to review technical studies such as load flow, short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, voltage-drop, grounding, and harmonic analyses. âą Strong technical judgment, problem-solving ability, written communication, and attention to detail. âą Ability to travel to project sites, vendor facilities, and partner data centers as required. âą Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. âą Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration. âą Experience with high-density AI, HPC, semiconductor, or liquid-cooled data center deployments. âą Experience with commissioning, integrated systems testing, and energization of mission-critical electrical systems. âą Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or comparable electrical analysis tools, and with BIM/Revit-based design coordination. âą Experience working with global colocation providers, utilities, EPC firms, and long-lead electrical equipment suppliers.
