📋 Description

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents • Conduct in-depth investigations and respond to complex security threats • Lead security incident management, coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery • Perform forensic analysis of compromised systems to identify root causes, attack vectors, and indicators of compromise • Assist with vulnerability identification, assessment, and remediation • Maintain and optimize SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems • Guide, mentor, and train Level 1 SOC Engineers • Create and maintain documentation of incidents, forensic analysis, and response actions • Generate and analyze security reports with recommendations to improve security posture • Track cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices and improve SOC processes and technologies • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for critical after-hours security incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Proven expertise in security monitoring tools, including SIEM and IDS/IPS, and their configuration and management • Proficiency in network security, endpoint security, and incident response techniques • Experience with forensic tools and methodologies for analyzing compromised systems • Familiarity with scripting and automation, such as Python and PowerShell • Knowledge of cloud security practices and tools, such as AWS and Azure, is a plus • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 3–5 years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity role • At least 1–2 years at a Level 2 position or equivalent • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CySA+ are preferred • MSP background or experience managing security for multiple client environments is preferred • Experience with vulnerability management and patch orchestration tools is preferred • Ability to work 7am–4pm EST, Monday–Friday • Must be eligible to work in the United States; CTS participates in the E-Verify Program
