📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain production ML models focused initially on pricing and availability, later expanding into forecasting, automation, and optimization • Establish principles, infrastructure, and systems for a scalable data science function • Improve data pipelines, modeling, governance, reliability, and data quality • Collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to translate complex data into insights, metrics, and recommendations • Promote experimentation, statistical rigor, and data storytelling • Mentor peers and help establish a future data science team • Embed elasticity models, demand forecasts, and operator availability logic into the core platform • Build dynamic pricing and matching rules or models to optimize customer price acceptance, operator match rates, supply efficiency, and profitability • Establish controlled-experiment and monitoring frameworks with KPIs balancing margin, conversion, and operator acceptance • Create explainable, measurable pricing and availability strategies and dashboards for Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations • Develop repeatable processes and systems to scale pricing and operator matching beyond one-off analysis • Report to the Chief Product Officer

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science • Track record of building and scaling data-driven functions • Experience leading cross-functional teams • Experience delivering high-impact projects in high-growth or startup environments • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production • Experience with pricing, demand forecasting, and availability optimization • Deep skills in AI/ML, LLMs, NLP, statistical modeling, experimental design, and advanced analysis • Advanced proficiency with SQL in big data environments • Python or R proficiency for large-scale analysis • Strong background in data modeling, pipeline development, data quality, and governance • Ability to align data science initiatives with business goals • Ability to translate complex data into clear strategies and actionable insights • Ability to influence at the executive level • Ability to mentor peers and junior talent • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
