📋 Description

• Impart knowledge, develop career abilities, and instill professional attitudes in an online learning environment • Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course competencies • Instruct online classes as directed by the Online HITM Program Director • Assist the Program Director with existing students and the Admissions Department with prospective students • Assist with practicum site evaluations and work with Career Services • Help develop, manage, teach, and support HITM continuing education programs • Manage the online classroom to provide an optimal learning environment • Advise students regarding academic progress • Provide career education through learner-centered instruction • Encourage learning culture, mutual responsibility, lifelong learning, diversity, ethics, and personal and professional development • Complete instructor observations and classroom 30-Day and Quarterly evaluations • Deliver competency-based, learner-centered online instruction • Enable student exit competencies and encourage student success • Relate industry experience to learning

🎯 Requirements

• Must have one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCP • Professional experience directly related to HITM online courses and consistent with CHCP regulatory requirements • Successful completion of the CHCP Online Faculty Orientation course • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills • Excellent teaching skills demonstrated by prior teaching evaluations • Willingness to work in an accelerated learning environment • Willingness to work online with students five of seven days per week • Must log on to answer students’ personal questions within 24 hours of receipt • Responsible for maintaining an Internet Service Provider connection
