• Provides a full range of legal services and strategic legal guidance to business partners • Maintains carriage of various files with oversight of the General Counsel • Researches and provides updates on case law, legislative requirements, and legal trends • Drafts and negotiates a variety of procurement, supplier, and vendor agreements • Provides clear legal advice on issues, including contract negotiation and review • Collaborates with other members of the Legal office and business clients
• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent law degree • Licensed to practice law in Ontario • Minimum five (5) years of experience practicing law • Knowledge of legal issues and laws affecting not for profit organizations • Solid negotiation and contract drafting skills • Strong critical thinking skills • Excellent organizational skills • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
