📋 Description

• Verify insurance policy benefits for clinical trial patients through telephone, mail/facsimile, and online inquiries • Review billing grids/budgets and compile standard-of-care procedures associated with research • Enter policy benefit information and update insurance records in the system • Review upcoming services to determine authorization requirements and update medical records • Request authorization extensions or new authorizations for continuity of care and coverage changes • Provide customer service and serve as a liaison between patients and support staff • Develop effective relationships with colleagues, physicians, providers, leaders, and other employees

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma • 2 years of related experience • 1+ years of healthcare experience working with insurance/authorizations • Experience verifying insurance policy benefits • Experience obtaining authorizations/pre-certifications • Ability to review billing grids/budgets and clinical trial coverage analyses • Ability to enter and update insurance and authorization information in systems • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to remain polite, friendly, patient, and calm under pressure
