📋 Description

• Report to Al Hleileh, CEO and Co-Founder • Own the commercial and operating engine, connecting product, operations, and commercial functions around a single growth north star • Build and personally review dashboards, reporting cadence, and performance management • Own commercial and operational outcomes with a GM and P&L mindset • Hire and manage a Commercial Lead • Help develop the business model and convert growth into a durable, higher-margin business • Set the tempo, make pragmatic trade-offs, and focus the team on measurable priorities • Build trust with public sector customers and ensure commercial activity withstands scrutiny • Build the commercial and operational backbone for Civic Marketplace's scaling • Collaborate with the CEO and a small team of operators and engineers

🎯 Requirements

• US preferred; remote with regular travel • Founder-level ownership and responsibility for outcomes • Recent hands-on operating experience • Experience building commercial or operational systems close to scratch, ideally in an early-stage or fast-moving environment • Strong quantitative instincts, including dashboards, cohorts, and unit economics • Ability to operate with pragmatism and speed under ambiguity • Leadership range to coach and raise standards without a large team • Low ego and high standards; direct, curious, and comfortable being challenged • Mission-driven, with curiosity about the public sector • Experience as a GM, COO, or Chief of Staff in an early-stage company, or experience in marketplace, regulated, or compliance-heavy environments is especially of interest • Must address work authorization in the United States • Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
