📋 Description

• Own a defined set of client accounts by answering billing questions, monitoring account health, flagging issues, and keeping clients informed • Support senior account managers on larger, more complex practices by preparing summaries, tracking open items, and following up on outstanding issues • Communicate with practice managers and physicians clearly and professionally • Research and resolve claim statuses across major payers • Understand why claims were denied and determine the correct path forward • Monitor AR aging reports and flag slow payers, recurring denial codes, and stuck revenue patterns • Review EOBs and ERAs, identify discrepancies, and work with the billing team to resolve them • Navigate practice management systems including ModMed, EZDERM, Nextech, DrChrono, and eCW • Identify broken or inefficient processes and suggest improvements • Use AI tools actively to find smarter ways to work • Learn the business through hands-on exposure in the work itself

🎯 Requirements

• 1–2 years of medical billing experience • Understanding of how claims flow • Knowledge of common denial codes • Ability to navigate payer portals • Dermatology experience is a plus, not a requirement • Self-starter who tolerates ambiguity well • Comfortable making progress without perfect instructions • Existing use of AI tools or active curiosity about using them to improve work • Focus on efficiency • Clear communication and professionalism under pressure
