📋 Description

• Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques, high-performance data architectures, and technologies to address complex business problems • Analyze large, unstructured data sets • Design, implement, and champion data modeling and advanced analytic methods • Provide guidance to the data scientist group and Department, Institute, or Regional Hospital leadership • Participate in development of data science best practices • Build predictive models and forecasts, with opportunities to build generative AI applications • Engage executives, physicians, project stakeholders, business leadership, internal stakeholders, and technology partners • Translate stakeholder needs into data science and machine learning solutions • Mentor junior developers and guide their technical contributions • Lead problem formulation, model building, and application of ML and AI technologies • Define analytics and synthesize findings to address customer requirements and generate value • Advise customers and prospects on technology and tool selection • Champion proof-of-concept launches and operationalize successful concepts • Monitor developments in data science and potential organizational applications • Contribute to scientific literature and academic partnerships • Educate stakeholders and internal customers on advanced analytics and Data Science services • Lead relationship development and technology evaluation for prospective enterprise partnerships • Instruct Analytics University curriculum for Cleveland Clinic caregivers • Provide and approve peer-review model assessments and feedback communication • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Physics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance or related field and 8 years of related experience, including 2 years in healthcare or life sciences • OR Ph.D. and 4 years of relevant experience • OR Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience • Experience working with relational databases and/or distributed computing platforms and query interfaces such as SQL, Teradata, MapReduce, PIG, and Hive • Experience with statistical languages/packages such as SAS, R, Python, Spark, and/or SPSS • Knowledge of advanced statistics applied to complex business problems, including modeling, AI, ML, Deep Learning, and/or NLP • Familiarity with Python, Java, or C/C++ • Experience with data visualization techniques and business intelligence software • Technical knowledge of distributed computing platforms and data process flows from instrumentation and generation through ETL and data warehousing • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including presentation, influencing, and negotiation • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English • Ability to explain the value of ML and AI to business leaders • Strong business orientation and ability to select quantitative methodologies aligned with business goals • Must reside in Ohio, Florida, or Nevada • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Compliance with required personal protective equipment procedures • Compliance with annual influenza vaccination program or approved exemption • Successful completion of post-offer controlled-substance testing
