📋 Description

• Lead a high-impact team focused on improving developer workflows, reducing friction, and enhancing engineering experience • Oversee development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, build systems, internal tools, AI-powered internal tooling, and agents • Ensure developer infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure • Evaluate and implement AI-native technologies while considering token economics, compute costs, AI spend, and productivity gains • Build, mentor, and lead a developer productivity engineering team • Foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability • Set goals and provide regular feedback in partnership with the Director • Assess team members' AI fluency and set individual growth targets • Coach AI fluency through 1:1s, peer knowledge transfer, experimentation, safe-to-fail projects, and learning sprints • Recognize AI-driven improvements in performance conversations • Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to align priorities • Advocate for developer needs and communicate capabilities and limitations to non-technical stakeholders • Write specs, rules files, and documentation that improve AI effectiveness • Define and track metrics for developer productivity, satisfaction, AI adoption, and AI-driven productivity gains • Use data-driven insights to prioritize initiatives and demonstrate impact • Iterate on processes to improve engineering velocity and quality • Identify and eliminate development lifecycle pain points through AI-augmented workflows • Drive adoption of AI coding tools including Cursor, Brain, and copilots • Ensure team access to and active use of AI tools; remove tooling, access, and training blockers • Design AI-augmented development workflows that multiply team velocity • Coach engineers on planning, delegating to agents, reviewing with judgment, and shipping with velocity • Ensure compliance with AI usage guidelines covering data handling, code review, and intellectual property • Proactively flag security, correctness, and licensing risks from AI-generated code • Maintain visibility into AI tools and usage • Run retrospectives and feedback loops on AI-related outcomes • Review AI-generated outputs to establish shared quality standards

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering • 3+ years in a leadership role managing engineering teams • Strong understanding of developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar • Understanding of integrating AI coding tools into engineering workflows • Demonstrated AI Augmented level or above; personally use AI tools daily and have coached others on effective AI-assisted development • Familiarity with prompt engineering, context engineering, and token economics • Experience with the 80/20 model and orchestrating work across humans and AI agents • Strong judgment on when to delegate to AI versus when human decision-making is critical • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams • Experience assessing and developing AI fluency across a team • Track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions, including AI-powered tooling and evaluation frameworks • Understanding of AI and non-AI risks, including security, correctness, licensing, and data handling • Experience establishing quality standards for outputs • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to translate AI capabilities and limitations to non-technical audiences • Passion for improving developer experiences and driving organizational impact through AI-native practices • Customer-first mentality • Legal authorization to work in the country where based • Visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and depends on business needs for the specific role
