📋 Description

• Provide Professional Services Consultancy leadership for all members of the DBA Team • Lead and mentor the DBA team, driving performance, consistency and best practice. • Manage resource planning, utilisation and delivery against project objectives. • Install, configure, upgrade and patch Oracle databases and related technologies. • Design and maintain backup, recovery and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN. • Lead database migrations, upgrades, tuning and performance optimisation activities. • Provide technical consultancy, database sizing and infrastructure recommendations for customers. • Support customer implementations and resolve complex database-related issues. • Collaborate with Development teams to improve scalability, performance and reliability. • Contribute to pre-sales activities, technical proposals and solution design. • Deliver Oracle knowledge-sharing and training across technical teams. • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota. • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes. • Assess and mitigate risks associated with AI adoption, including data quality, bias and governance. • Promote practical and value-driven use of AI across Technical Services and Solution Architecture teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Oracle Database Administration experience. • Expertise in database backup, recovery, performance tuning and optimisation. • Experience with Oracle RAC, RMAN and Oracle Enterprise Manager. • Proven leadership or team management experience. • Strong customer-facing consultancy and stakeholder management skills. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
