📋 Description

• Report to the Senior Exploration Geologist • Handle samples in the core yard • Organize core sample transfers to the mine laboratory • Prepare and load core sample shipments and associated paperwork for outside laboratories • Prepare and maintain assay laboratory submittal sheets and shipment transfer records • Follow core sawing requirements for exploration drill holes as directed by the supervisor • Assist with sample storage efforts • Stop work for safety concerns and follow safety best practices, policies, and procedures • Perform other duties as assigned • Work 12-hour days on a 15-days-on/13-days-off rotation at the remote mine camp

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset • Willingness to assist others, adapt to changing conditions, and proactively solve problems • Excellent safety, attendance, and work records • Computer literacy, including Excel, Word, and Outlook • Comfortable operating heavy equipment, including forklifts and skid steers • Comfortable operating light vehicles, including pickup trucks and flatbeds • Ability to work in a multiple-task environment and prioritize with a supervisor • Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly verbally and in writing • Ability to safely work in a mining environment and varying outdoor conditions • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and escapeways • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds often and up to 70 pounds occasionally • Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when applicable • Ability to participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures • Experience with acQuire Database is helpful but not essential • Preference given to Alaska residents
