Cognassist is a provider of an evidence-based neuro-inclusion platform for education and training providers. It delivers a scientifically validated digital cognitive assessment, automated personalised support plans, monthly support records for compliance, and an AI learning assistant called Kai to give learners tailored strategies. Cognassist helps colleges, apprenticeship providers, and other education organisations identify learner needs early, evidence support for funding and Ofsted/compliance purposes, and deliver personalised, inclusive learning pathways.

📋 Description

• Own, maintain and update ISMS documentation, including policies, procedures, controls and records • Manage the ISMS through control monitoring, risk treatment and continual improvement • Advise on and support completion of Security Assurance Questionnaires from prospects and customers • Build internal capability for managing security questionnaires • Conduct cybersecurity assessments and policy reviews, identify gaps and drive remediation • Plan and manage internal and external ISO audits and regulatory compliance audits • Coordinate with certification bodies and prepare the business for surveillance and recertification • Nominate a representative for Cognassist's InfoSec and Estate Committee and participate in committee work • Attend quarterly GRCA meetings with leadership • Propose and deliver InfoSec governance, risk and compliance improvement programmes • Provide Data Protection Officer consultancy on an ad hoc basis • Comply with industry-standard security protocols and use encrypted communications and secure networks

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable experience providing InfoSec and audit compliance consultancy, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment • Proven track record maintaining and managing an ISO ISMS through certification and audit • Experience completing Security Assurance Questionnaires and responding to customer and supplier security due diligence • Working knowledge of Data Protection Officer responsibilities, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 • Relevant certification such as ISO Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor • Recognised data protection qualification, for example BCS/CIPP • Strong documentation skills • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight • Ability to handle special category or sensitive personal data with appropriate care and confidentiality • Compliance with industry-standard security protocols, encrypted communications and secure networks
