📋 Description

• Own and evolve the Waypoint Figma library, including component structure, variants, properties, and documentation • Build and maintain core Waypoint components and contribute to component packages • Maintain synchronization between Figma design tokens and code representations such as CSS custom properties and Tailwind config • Partner with product designers to translate new patterns into system components • Partner with product engineers to ensure components are easy to adopt correctly • Define and refine workflows and tooling connecting Figma and code, including sync scripts, plugins, and documentation sites • Write documentation and usage guidance • Contribute to architecture decisions about adding or extending components, versioning, packaging, and system consistency • Help evolve Waypoint so AI models can read, reason about, and build with its components, tokens, and patterns

🎯 Requirements

• Genuine fluency in both Figma and production code • Experience owning Figma library structure, variants, properties, tokens, and documentation • Experience building and maintaining component packages • Experience with design tokens, CSS custom properties, and Tailwind configuration • Ability to partner with product designers and product engineers to translate patterns into adoptable system components • Experience with Figma/code workflows and tooling, including sync scripts, plugins, or documentation sites • Ability to write clear documentation and usage guidance • Understanding of component system architecture, versioning, packaging, and consistency • Ability to structure components, tokens, and patterns so they are legible to AI systems • Portfolio link required • Nice to have: design-to-code sync tooling experience, including Figma plugins, token pipelines, or MCP-based workflows • Nice to have: familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards • Nice to have: experience packaging/versioning component libraries, npm scoped packages, semver, and changelogs • Nice to have: exposure to iOS/SwiftUI, Android/Jetpack Compose, or Style Dictionary • Nice to have: experience in an AI-native product environment or interest in AI and design systems
