📋 Description

• Embed with Compliance leadership and frontline teams to identify high-leverage automation opportunities across transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, regulatory change management, and exam preparation. • Rapidly prototype solutions using Coinbase's existing AI platform. • Own the Compliance automation roadmap with the Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance leadership. • Translate complex regulatory workflows into engineering requirements and communicate engineering constraints to stakeholders. • Define build-versus-buy strategies for Compliance tooling. • Ensure automated compliance outputs are traceable, reviewable, and defensible to regulators through auditability, approval gates, evidence retention, and human-in-the-loop controls. • Drive adoption through brown-bags, prototype walkthroughs, and feedback loops.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems in ambiguous, stakeholder-heavy environments; greenfield experience is a strong plus. • Hands-on experience deploying LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, hallucination guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design for high-stakes compliance outputs. • Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts, rapidly understand complex workflows, and translate them into engineering requirements. • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory systems concepts, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, regulatory filing workflows, case management, and audit-ready data handling. • Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration concepts, including agent handoffs, escalation, and auditability. • Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or embedded technical advisory roles, ideally in compliance-tech, RegTech, or financial services. • Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight and focus on measurable workflow efficiency, cost, and quality improvements.
