📋 Description

• Define and own the internal communications strategy for a portfolio of stakeholders • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on messaging, approach, and timing • Ensure employees have the information and context needed to do their jobs • Create and improve systems, including AI-powered tools and workflows, that scale communications across a globally distributed, remote workforce • Measure communications program effectiveness and use data for continuous improvement • Develop a deep understanding of Coinbase’s mission, strategy, and culture and reinforce them in communications • Identify and implement AI-native approaches to content creation, personalization, measurement, and feedback loops • Support and execute organization-wide or company-wide live events, including drafting talking points, advising on event flow and structure, and preparing speakers • Partner with Internal and External Communications teammates on proactive/reactive communications and internal issues management • Report to the Director of Internal Communications • Partner directly with executives and senior leaders to tell powerful stories, drive change, and define best-in-class internal communications in an AI-native company

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in internal, external or corporate communications, media / journalism, or another writing intensive role • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, prioritizing clarity & brevity in all communications • Well-developed “executive presence,” including experience directly partnering with senior executives on communications initiatives, with examples of ability to influence stakeholders and adapt work style accordingly • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to accelerate and improve communications work, including responsible use and human oversight • Resilience and grit in the face of rapid organizational change and shifting priorities • Experience communicating to a highly distributed, remote workforce • Extremely organized, with experience in roadmapping and planning • Ability to generate ideas and implement them • Ability to balance speed and quality, with an acute sense for priorities • Enthusiasm for crypto with willingness to develop real fluency in the space
