• Create and process referrals from healthcare professionals and other referral sources in the customer management database • Validate medical files and scan documentation into customer accounts • Verify patients’ insurance benefits by contacting insurance companies and document account information • Process leads from external departments and complete required documentation • Organize, update, review, and validate customer records • Complete inbound and outbound telephone calls related to referrals • Verify insurance benefits for new, existing, changed-insurance, and reactivated patients • Record clear summaries of insurance information from carriers • Review medical records for missing documentation and verify diagnoses and signatures • Correct deficient documentation and obtain required signatures within prescribed periods • Ensure file accuracy and scan documents into the system • Research and resolve customer order issues by communicating with healthcare professionals and insurers • Update company database records according to Corporate Compliance Guidelines • Maintain knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and job skills • Meet or exceed quality and quantity performance standards • Support departmental leadership in achieving goals through task completion and training • Maintain effective relationships with customers and coworkers • Follow housekeeping, quality, safety, ethical, legal, and corporate policy requirements • Perform additional duties and occasional overtime as directed
• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum of one-year experience in a contact center • Willingness to engage in telephone direct sales • Ability to take initiative and work independently • Ability to interpret instructions and guidelines to make decisions and take necessary actions • Ability to follow complex instructions and guidelines to address specific problems • Ability to navigate between different computer systems • Ability to apply instructions and guidelines in performing duties • Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to determine work priorities • Ability to work independently to achieve established goals and objectives • Skilled typing ability • Knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software, Microsoft Office Suite, and related applications and systems • Available and flexible to work changing schedules, including nights and weekends • English/Spanish bilingual preferred
