📋 Description

• Surveil and evaluate suppliers to ensure delivered equipment complies with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and performance specifications • Travel to perform onsite inspections, document reviews, functional testing, and continuous improvement activities • Manage, review, and close supplier corrective requests • Prepare and complete audit reports with photos and communicate audit information to cross-functional teams and suppliers • Review supplier change notifications and determine impact to internal systems • Maintain detailed audit reports and supplier files • Interface with suppliers to ensure product compliance with specifications and perform supplier audits as needed • Develop measurement techniques for product release at suppliers • Provide support for external manufacturing areas • Work with production personnel and supervisors to determine and monitor quality metrics and sample plans, and address non-conforming product issues • Assist corrective and preventive action investigations to resolve root causes • Review incoming supplies and products from vendors for defects and quality • Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas resulting in flaws • Serve as liaison between senior management, clients, and vendors • Read work instructions and/or drawings to interpret and confirm production and assembly information

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to work 50+ hrs. a week • High School Diploma/GED • Certification • A minimum of 2 years of experience as Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector or equivalent related experience • Proficient in AC/DC applications, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components • Working knowledge of E&I testing, calibration, inspection, functional testing, and field installation • Competent in understanding electrical codes and industry practices for low, medium, and high voltage components • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturers guidelines • Ability to work alone or within a group • Self-driven to completion of job • Strong commitment to personal and team safety • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to multi-task • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the team, customers, and external contacts via telephone, in written form, email, and in person • Ability to learn company specific applications • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment • Excellent customer service skills • Must be able to travel from 90-100% • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 25 lbs • Ability to sustain physical activity, including walking, climbing, bending, and sitting • Good dexterity in handling small objects • Requires regular and predictable attendance on the job • Ability to perform work in remote field settings and exposure to extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments • Familiarity in the renewable and fossil fuel energy sectors • NCCER, CEI certification • OSHA 10 certification
