• Surveil and evaluate suppliers to ensure delivered equipment complies with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and performance specifications • Travel to perform onsite inspections, document reviews, functional testing, and continuous improvement activities • Manage, review, and close supplier corrective requests • Prepare and complete audit reports with photos and communicate audit information to cross-functional teams and suppliers • Review supplier change notifications and determine impact to internal systems • Maintain detailed audit reports and supplier files • Interface with suppliers to ensure product compliance and perform supplier audits as needed • Develop measurement techniques for product release at suppliers • Support external manufacturing areas • Work with production personnel and supervisors to determine and monitor quality metrics and sampling plans • Address non-conforming product issues • Assist corrective and preventive action investigations to resolve root causes • Review incoming supplies and vendor products for defects and quality • Maintain supplier-quality reports, including defect rates and sources of flaws • Serve as liaison between senior management, clients, and vendors • Read work instructions and drawings to interpret and confirm production and assembly information
• Ability to work 50+ hrs. a week • High School Diploma/GED • Certification • A minimum of 2 years of experience as Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector or equivalent related experience • Proficient in AC/DC applications, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic components • Working knowledge of E&I testing, calibration, inspection, functional testing, and field installation • Competent in understanding electrical codes and industry practices for low, medium, and high voltage components • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturers guidelines • Ability to work alone or within a group • Strong commitment to personal and team safety • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and changing environment • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and external contacts via telephone, written form, email, and in person • Ability to learn company-specific applications • Excellent customer service skills • Must be able to travel from 90–100% • Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 25 lbs • Ability to sustain physical activity including walking, climbing, bending, and sitting • Good dexterity in handling small objects • Regular and predictable attendance • Ability to work in remote field settings and extreme weather conditions • NCCER, CEI certification and OSHA 10 certification are preferred
