📋 Description

• Provide confidential, non-judgmental, non-critical phone support to callers around the state • Practice the principles of Intentional Peer Support (IPS) • Complete CCS-provided training and role-plays • Participate in ongoing training, team-building, and assigned meetings • Work closely with Shift Leaders in an environment requiring improvement and change • Track warmline activity through accurate data logs • Enter and professionally present data • Write reports for the Warmline Shift Leader or assigned Warmline Supervisor as necessary • Provide information in a timely and professional manner • Work under the general direction of the Warmline Supervisor, with daily-to-weekly guidance from a Shift Leader • Handle highly confidential information and follow applicable confidentiality requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Must identify as a person with lived experience of having big feelings and provide support to others through difficult times • Must possess a certificate for completion of the Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS) • Must become registered with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist during the first 6 months of working for the Warmline • Working understanding of what the Warmline is and what it is not, demonstrated through training role-plays • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Participation in ongoing trainings and meetings as assigned • Adherence to all policies and procedures • Respect, feedback, strong communication, and team skills • Fundamental awareness of cross-cultural issues, dual diagnosis/addictions, and effects of PTSD/trauma, or willingness to learn • Ability to handle highly confidential information and adhere to client confidentiality laws and rules • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats, with assistance if needed • Ability or willingness to learn and use Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, and Publisher • Ability to keep written and digital logs for data collection • Ability to use conference calls, email, printers, fax, and multiple phone lines • Must pass required criminal history checks • Must pass pre-hire drug screening prior to hire • Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including sitting, talking, hearing, typing, reaching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and squatting as required
