📋 Description

• Provide senior technical leadership supporting federal IT systems development and operations • Focus on database architecture, performance, and data management • Provide thought leadership in modernizing and enhancing federal systems through effective data management, database optimization, and secure data practices • Serve as a primary interface with the customer • Support and coordinate with development Scrums, Cloud Engineering, and DevSecOps Platform teams • Tune databases and monitor database logs • Install software, maintenance releases, and associated patches • Provide after-hours incident support • Maintain databases and configurations on database servers, Cloud One, and other hosting areas • Coordinate firewall access for mainframe/server accessibility • Coordinate release schedules with the PMO and interfacing partners • Resolve system anomalies • Develop database strategies, system monitoring, performance and capacity improvements, and plans for future requirements • Monitor production systems and secure database environments, including remediation and mitigation of database STIGs • Prepare software release packages for migration to newer COTS versions • Modify database structures based on approved software changes • Facilitate backups, verify restored data accuracy and completeness, and assist with backup restoration • Prepare databases for CV&I, QT&E, performance, user-acceptance, and regression testing

🎯 Requirements

• US Citizen • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a closely related field • 5–7 years of experience as a DBA • 3+ years of database management in an AWS Cloud environment (RDS) • Security+ CE or CCNA Security certification required • Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance • Knowledge of XMLS, AWS-related technologies, and utilities • Preferred: experience working with Agile development teams of 20+ FTEs and familiarity with Agile methodologies • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle RMAN • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Oracle Failsafe
