Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Direct instruction through managing online instructional programs • Ensure that each student successfully completes state standards for promotion • Monitor progress, evaluate work, and run instructional/tutorial sessions • Provide academic guidance and support • Communicate with parents/learning coaches, students, and other teachers • Conduct online tutorial and instructional sessions • Develop detailed knowledge of the curriculum • Provide additional assistance to struggling students

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Spanish in Texas (appropriate to grade level and subject responsibilities) • Must hold a current (within the last 3 years) TxVSN approved Online Instructor’s Training certificate or be prepared to obtain one immediately upon hire • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Experience with online instruction is a plus • Must own a computer with high speed Internet access that meets Connections Academy’s minimum technology specifications • Must maintain posted office hours for at least 3 hours per week on two separate weekdays between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm • Complete required orientation and training programs • May be required to attend training and/or meetings at the school office throughout the school year • Comply with all provisions of the Connections Academy Work At-Home Policy • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
