Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage instructional programs virtually from home • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Complete grading and create progress reports • Conduct parent conferences • Support instructional program with web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and present lessons to increase understanding • Communicate with parents, students, and teachers • Develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Score assessments and provide feedback on student work • Collaborate with other teachers • Develop knowledge of K-12 curriculum • Support students and parents with strategies • Keep records and data up-to-date • Coordinate activities and field trips • Manage regional field trips • Participate in student recruitment and marketing efforts • Attend training sessions and activities • Perform other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Secondary Math in Missouri • Experience with Professional Learning Communities • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
