Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Support instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons for better understanding • Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers regularly • Work collaboratively with other teachers and develop a general knowledge of the K-12 curriculum

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach high school Spanish in Nevada • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
